The small town of Forte dei Marmi is situated on the north coast of the Region of Lucca. It is part of Versilia along with the municipalities of Seravezza Stazzema and Pietrasanta. Versilia derives its name from the river that marks the boundary of part of Forte dei Marmi from the cities of Pietrasanta Seravezza and before achieving the mouth area totally in the Region of Massa Carrara.
